What We Do
In more than 50 years of activity Medicus Mundi Italia has operated in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe and Italy. In recent years, MMI has increasingly turned its attention to the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, the poorest region on our planet, implementing multi-sectoral projects in partnership with other associations.
COMMUNITY HEALTH: Access to basic health services in communities and health centres.
INFECTIOUS DISEASES: Awareness, prevention, and treatment of HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria. Prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission.
MALNUTRITION:Prevention, screening, and treatment, of acute and chronic malnutrition.
WASH (WHATER, SANITATION, AND HYGIENE): Access to clean water and to sanitary facilities.
